Michelle:
“I never thought I could get back to my former self so fast after giving birth to my baby girl. I had worked as a model back in the States and the last thing I wanted out of my pregnancy was to lose my very athletic body. I had been a top-level mountain biker as well as a sprinter and my legs and bum were very firm before I fell pregnant. However, only 9 months after giving birth, I am back to my former self and can even squeeze back into my tight jeans! I am so thankful for finding www.get-fit-at-home.com here in England. They took me through the various methods of losing the additional bodyweight I had gained, how I should eat post-pregnancy and they truly kept me going through the tough times when you have someone other than just yourself to worry about! What I was most impressed with was the number of qualified pre and post natal trainers and therapists they had on call. I only waited 24 hours after my initial call to find a choice of three to come to my home! Perfect service!”
For Vikki:
“I am 32 and have played competitive sport every week up until 3 years ago. In those 3 years I put exercise and good eating to one side, I still continued to ‘attempt’ to keep fit with infrequent visits to the gym and swimming. Until one day I realized I had let it go too far, so I needed a new challenge, something I had never done and something that would push me to my limits and get me back at peak condition.
I decided to attempt a triathlon, this is when I decided to get a trainer, and Vikki, was an easy choice. With her experience in marathon, triathlon and iron man competitions, she soon put a 6 month training program together for me. The training was gradual and included cardiovascular, stamina, interval, and strength training techniques. Vikki also advised as to my dietary requirements right up to race day. With regular visits and advice not to mention the additional training with swimming techniques, Vikki also competed on the same day. I was hoping to finish but actually ended up in the top half of competitors in my heat, I was delighted and still put this achievement down as one of my greatest and I thank Vikki for it all.”
For Ed: Angie Grimmer, Competitive Bodybuilder
“Having been actively involved in various sports and ballet training since childhood, I began to concentrate on distance running in my early twenties. An element of this required building up a degree of endurance strength which I achieved by weight training. I became more and more interested in the philosophy behind bodybuilding, not merely for size but for an aesthetic and improved appearance. This in turn led to a desire to compete against other bodybuilders. Having competed for the first time fairly successfully I still did not feel I had achieved my potential. I quickly realised that lifting weights was only half the battle, and that motivation and support was equally, if not more important in sticking to the difficult pre-contest schedule.
I realised that for my next competition I would need that extra element that can only come from the commitment and knowledge of a fellow bodybuilder. I was already aware of Ed's interest in bodybuilding as a sport and felt he would be the ideal person to help my further my achievements. Ed offered an incisive and objective approach that was essential from an "audience" perspective. As well as supporting me in my lifting techniques and being a wholly reliable, disciplined training partner, he gave invaluable advice on diet and competition technique to help me achieve peak condition.
When my next competition day finally arrived, Ed was there once more (despite a journey of some five hours!) to offer encouragement and backstage advice. I won my weight class to qualify for the national championships, and this was due in no small part to the wholehearted support I received from Ed.”
